Regular Season Round 1: Lhasa - Fujian 118-85

An exciting game was played in Lhasa. Lhasa faced Fujian. Host Lhasa (1-0) smashed guests from Fuzhou (0-1) 118-85. The game was mostly controlled by Lhasa. Fujian was better in second period 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Fujian's 46. Lhasa had a 35-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Kun Si (195-95) fired a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Center DangJian Han (208-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Guard Xiaobo Zhang (188-93) produced 18 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals and swingman Wenbo Yang (196-90) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Lhasa will face Jiangsu (#13) in He Fei in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Fujian will play on the road against Guizhou (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
