Kapfenberg defended their A Bundesliga title. They outlasted Gmunden in overtime in Game 6 of the championship series to lift the trophy. Gmunden Swans were trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 25-21 charge of Kapfenberg Bulls, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 11-8. Gmunden Swans were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-92) who scored 23 points and 9 assists. American guard Kareem Jamar (194-92, college: Montana) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 27 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized German power forward Tilo Klette (206-77) added 23 points and 9 rebounds respectively.
