Top ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (24-14) recorded its fourteenth loss at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (16-22) 107-95. Lobos UAD Mazatlan shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Michael Lizarraga (200-89, college: CS Northridge) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Jamaican-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) chipped in 23 points and 8 assists. Scott is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Carlos Suarez (173-92) produced 30 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Hameed Ali (188-93, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Lobos UAD Mazatlan and four Garra Canera de Navolato players scored in double figures. Lobos UAD Mazatlan moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Guasave and Los Mochis. Garra Canera de Navolato at the other side still keeps top position with 14 games lost.
