Not a big story in a game in Northbridge where 11th ranked Wanneroo (4-12) was rolled over by fourth ranked Redbacks (11-4) 86-60 on Friday. Redbacks made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while Wanneroo only scored eight points from the stripe. Redbacks forced 23 Wanneroo turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Makailah Dyer (175, college: N.Dakota) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points and 6 assists. Her fellow American import forward Kayla Standish (187-89, college: Gonzaga) helped adding 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Redbacks players scored in double figures. Redbacks' coach felt very confident using entire bench saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was forward Amy Kidner (183, college: N.Colorado) with 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Abbie Ironmonger (176) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Redbacks moved-up to third place in League. Loser Wanneroo keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Redbacks will face Hawks (#9) in Floreat in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Wanneroo will play on the road against Slammers in Bunbury and hope to win that game.
