There was a small surprise in Northbridge where third ranked Redbacks (12-6) outleveled top-ranked Wanneroo (15-4) 99-66 on Friday. Redbacks looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Wanneroo's players. American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Naturalized Scottish power forward Michael Vigor (206-90) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Redbacks players scored in double figures. American forward Jalen Billups (200-92, college: N.Kentucky, agency: Haylett Sports) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Greek guard Trian Iliadis (190-89, college: ODU) added 17 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Redbacks maintains third position in League with 12-6 record having just eleven point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Wanneroo still keeps top place with four games lost. Redbacks will face Hawks (#4) in Floreat in the next round. Wanneroo will play on the road against Slammers in Bunbury and hope to win that game.
