Regular Season Round 3: Fujian - Wuhan 80-86

An interesting game took place in Fuzhou where Fujian (0-3) was upset on its own court by Wuhan (1-2) 86-80 on Friday. Fujian was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was Ukrainian center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward Vernon Macklin (208-86, college: Florida) chipped in 9 points and 14 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Wenbo Yang (196-90) who recorded 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and American center Amir Williams (211-92, college: Ohio St.) added 10 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. Wuhan will meet at home Jiangsu (#15) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Fujian will play against Hunan and hopes to get finally their first victory.
