Regular Season Round 4: Auriblanco - Capitol 62-84

Bottom-ranked Auriblanco is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fifth ranked Capitol (3-1) 84-62 on Friday evening. It was a very good performance for American center Gene Teague (206-89, college: Seton Hall, agency: DTMones) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Forward Agustin Zuvich (200-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Five Capitol players scored in double figures. Guard Joaquin Rodriguez (184) replied with 23 points and 9 rebounds and forward Juan Pons (194-84) added 10 points in the effort for Auriblanco. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Capitol keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Auriblanco still closes the standings with four games lost. Capitol's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo 25 de Agosto.
