Regular Season Round 15: Rockingham CF - Mandurah M. 75-63

There was no surprise in Rockingham where 6th ranked Magic (7-7) was defeated by second ranked Flames (11-4) 75-63 on Friday. Flames made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Magic turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard D'lesha Lloyd (179-86, college: Clemson) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Maddison Allen (190-93, college: Santa Clara) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Flames players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Anita Brown (173, college: Akron) with 29 points and 8 rebounds and Slovakian center Regina Palusna (192-89) scored 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Flames maintains second place in League with 11-4 record having just four point less than leader Bendigo LB. Loser Magic keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Flames will face Slammers (#8) in Bunbury in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Magic will play on the road against the league's leader Lightning in Bullcreek and hope to win that game.
