Regular Season Round 15: Logan T. - Townsville F. 72-97

Very expected game in Loganholme where 12th ranked Logan Thunder (3-7) was crushed by second ranked Flames (9-1) 97-72 on Saturday. The game without a history. Flames led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for forward Darcee Garbin (187-94) who led her team to a victory scoring 28 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Alexandra Fowler (182-1) helped adding 15 points. Five Flames players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Mikhaela Donnelly (177-94) with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Zitina Aokuso (192-98) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flames keep a position of League leader. Loser Logan Thunder keeps the twelfth place with seven games lost. Flames will face Power (#14) in Gladstone in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Logan Thunder will play on the road against Pirates in Runcorn and hope to win that game.
