The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Thunder's (4-7) road victory over 8th ranked Cougars (3-10) 74-65 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American forward Erin Bollmann (180-94, college: SE Missouri St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 26 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Aneta Bandilovski helped adding 20 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American guard Ariel Thomas (168, college: Oregon) with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import center Megan Kritscher (195-89, college: Sacramento St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Thunder maintains seventh place in League with 4-7 record. Loser Cougars dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Thunder will face higher ranked Jets (#4) in Sunbury in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cougars will play on the road against Hawks (#3) in Heathmont and hope to win that game.
