No shocking result in a game in Newcastle where second ranked Hunters (9-2) outleveled 8th ranked Hills Hornets (1-10) 80-48 on Saturday. Hunters forced 28 Hills Hornets turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Hills Hornets' players. It was a great evening for guard Jasmin Howe (173, college: NW Missouri St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 28 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Hannah Young (185-93, college: Virginia Tech) helped adding 13 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Howe is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Hunters' coach felt very confident using 11 players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Madison Hare with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Taylah Cottees scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Hunters maintains second place in League with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Bendigo LB. Loser Hills Hornets keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Hunters will face league's leader Spireds in Hornsby in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
