Not a big story in a game in Adelaide where 4th placed Bearcats (7-6) were defeated by leader Rockets (13-0) 89-71 on Saturday. Rockets forced 23 Bearcats turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Bearcats' players. Bearcats were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Leah Metcalf (170-83, college: N.Carolina) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. The former international swingman Jo Hill (182-73) helped adding 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Rockets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Ashlea Vordermaier (-90) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Jasmin Fejo scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rockets maintains first place in League with 13-0 record. Loser Bearcats dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Rockets will face league's second-placed Sabres in Pasadena in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bearcats will play at home against Mavericks (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
