There was a surprise result in Seaford where eighth ranked Frankston Blues (3-11) outleveled higher ranked BA CoE (8-7) 94-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. Frankston Blues led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to BA CoE's 30 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game, while BA CoE only scored two points from the stripe. They outrebounded BA CoE 34-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Forward Dan Trist (206-92, college: Lafayette) fired 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. Naturalized American swingman Bennie Lewis (203-87, college: Benedict) chipped in 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Lewis attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball. Frankston Blues' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. South Korean forward Hyunjung Lee (192-0) produced 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Hunter Goodrick (201-0) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Frankston Blues maintains eighth position in League with 3-11 record. Loser BA CoE keeps the third place with seven games lost. Frankston Blues will face higher ranked Geelong Supercats (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BA CoE will play against the league's second-placed Chargers having rather not much hope for a victory.
