Regular Season Round 15: Frankston B. - BA CoE 79-75

There was a small surprise in Seaford where eighth ranked Frankston Blues (2-12) beat 8th ranked BA CoE (2-14) 79-75 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Frankston Blues forced 19 BA CoE turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Samantha Richards (167-83) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Stacey Barr (173-92, college: Idaho) helped adding 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Frankston Blues' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Taylor Mole with 22 points and center Isabelle Bourne (186-0) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Frankston Blues maintains eighth place in League with 2-12 record which they share with defeated BA CoE. Loser BA CoE keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. Frankston Blues will face higher ranked Geelong Supercats (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
