Regular Season Round 16: Stirling S. - Kalamunda E.S. 102-96

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Senators' (10-9) home victory over 9th ranked Suns (9-11) 102-96 on Sunday. Senators made 30-of-34 free shots (88.2 percent) during the game. Senators outrebounded Suns 49-37 including 21 on the offensive glass. Suns were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Justin King (196-89, college: TRU) fired 27 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Caleb Davis (206-95, college: Saginaw Valley) chipped in 23 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!). American center Kevin Davis (206-91, college: Cent.Washington) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Four Senators and five Suns players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Senators maintains eighth position in League with 10-9 record. Loser Suns keep the ninth place with 11 games lost. Senators will face Giants (#14) in Kalgoorlie in the next round where they are favorite. Suns will play on the road against Cougars (#11) in Hamilton Hill and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
