Regular Season Round 4: Lhasa - Henan 129-121

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Lhasa (3-1) defeated at home 9th ranked Henan (1-3) 129-121 on Sunday. Henan was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Lhasa looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Henan was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Bosnian power forward Ale Todorovic (206-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds. American Frank Gaines (191-90, college: IPFW) produced 46 points (!!!) and 4 assists and guard Yuxing Jiang (195-95) added 20 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Five Lhasa and four Henan players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Lhasa moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Henan dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. Lhasa will face Luoyang (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Henan will play against Guizhou and hope to win that game.
