Regular Season Round 7: UMU Ravens - Javon Phenoms 45-53

Javon Ladies' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in , where they defeated UMU Ravens (1-7) 53-45. Javon Ladies forced 25 UMU Ravens turnovers. It was a great evening for center Irene Akello (-90) who led her team to a victory scoring 5 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Ruth Elsie (-99) helped adding 8 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side Brenda Ayere (-98) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Sharon Kirabo scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Javon Ladies (1-5) left bottom position moving up to ninth place. It was UMU Ravens' third loss in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Javon Ladies will play against league's leader JKL LD in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. UMU Ravens will have a break next round.
