Very expected game in Booval where 13th ranked Ipswich Force (2-6) was rolled over by third ranked Townsville Heat (8-2) 94-71 on Sunday. Townsville Heat shot 22 for 33 from the free-throw line, while Ipswich Force only scored six points from the stripe. Ipswich Force was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international point guard Joshua Wilcher (178-91, college: Cent.Wyoming) fired 23 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. American guard Jordair Jett (185-91, college: St.Louis) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Townsville Heat players scored in double figures. American guard Garrett Hall (190-94, college: Saginaw Valley) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Kyle Harvey (196-91, college: Williams Baptist) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Townsville Heat maintains third position in League with 8-2 record behind leader Mackay M. Loser Ipswich Force keeps the thirteenth place with six games lost. Townsville Heat will face Gladstone Port City Power (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
