It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cocodrilos. Guaros players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The former international forward Luis Bethelmy (200-86) nailed 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and guard Heldrin Guillent (180-98) accounted for 17 points and 8 assists. Four Guaros players scored in double figures. American guard Carl Elliott (193-83, college: G.Washington) came up with 21 points and 4 assists and the other American import forward Tony Mitchell (203-92, college: N.Texas) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Cocodrilos in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guaros have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-0 record. Cocodrilos at the other side keep the third position with eight games lost. Guaros will again play against Cocodrilos (#3) in Caracas in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Cocodrilos will have a break next round.
