No shocking result in a game when second ranked Colon (5-1) defeated at home 13th ranked Tabare (1-5) 70-62 on Friday. The best player for the winners was American guard Aaron Cosby (190-92, college: W.Kentucky) who scored 43 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Point guard Martin Mayora (180-95) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Emiliano Serres (206-97) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and American forward Tiel Daniels (200-92, college: Colorado St.) added 16 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Colon have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Cordon and Capitol. Tabare lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with five games lost. Colon will face Bohemios (#4) in Montevideo in the next round. Tabare will play on the road against Stockolmo (#9) in Montevideo and hope to win that game.
