Regular Season Round 16: Rockingham CF - SW Slammers 82-64

There was no surprise in Rockingham where 8th ranked Slammers (7-9) were defeated by third ranked Flames (12-4) 82-64 on Friday. Flames forced 21 Slammers turnovers and outrebounded them 39-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. American guard D'lesha Lloyd (179-86, college: Clemson) fired 26 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Maddison Allen (190-93, college: Santa Clara) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Dutch center Charlotte van-Kleef (190-96) produced 20 points and Tayah Burrows added 9 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flames maintains third position in League with 12-4 record behind leader Bendigo LB. Loser Slammers dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. Flames will face Hawks (#9) in Floreat in the next round where they are favorite. Slammers will play on the road against Hawks in Floreat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
