Regular Season Round 8: Magic Stormers - A1 Challenge 52-54

This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 6th ranked Magic Stormers (3-3) to third ranked A1 Challenge (5-1) 54-52 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Magic Stormers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Susan Amito who helped to win the game recording 16 points and international forward Stella Nanfuka who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Jane Asinde responded with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Racheal Nanyonga scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. A1 Challenge have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Magic Stormers at the other side keep the sixth position with three games lost. A1 Challenge will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Magic Stormers will play against UCU Ladies (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
