There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Cougars (8-11) won against 9th ranked Suns (9-12) in Hamilton Hill 98-93 on Saturday. Cougars made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Swingman Julian Pesava (193-95, college: Wayland Baptist) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). American-Ugandan center Brandon Sebirumbi (205-90, college: Furman) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) answered with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import center Kevin Davis (206-91, college: Cent.Washington) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Suns. Five Cougars and four Suns players scored in double figures. Suns' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cougars moved-up to tenth place in League. Loser Suns keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Cougars will face higher ranked Redbacks (#3) in Northbridge in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
