Regular Season Round 8: Nkumba LM - Angels 88-42

The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. 7th ranked Angels (2-5) played at the court of eighth ranked Nkumba LM (3-4). Nkumba LM smashed Angels 88-42. Nkumba LM dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Angels' 30. They outrebounded Angels 48-28 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by guard Brenda Ekone (152-96) who scored that evening 46 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and forward Fina Busingye (-93) supported her with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Even 16 points by Cathy Amugusut did not help to save the game for Angels. Grace Kwarisiima added 4 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Angels' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Nkumba LM moved-up to seventh place. Angels lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Nkumba LM will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Angels will play against KCC Leopards (#5) and hope to get back on the winning track.
