The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked Spectres' (11-3) road victory over 3rd placed Dandenong Rangers (8-6) 83-77 on Saturday. Spectres looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Simon Conn (206-83, college: Gardner-Webb) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Thomas Wright contributed with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Spectres' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international forward Rhys Vague (204-96) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Lucas Barker (183-93, college: Indianapolis) added 17 points and 5 steals in the effort for Dandenong Rangers. Spectres keep a position of League leader. Loser Dandenong Rangers dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Spectres will face Diamond Valley Eagles (#7) in Greensborough in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dandenong Rangers will play on the road against NW Tasmania Thunder in Ulverstone and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
