Regular Season Round 17: W.Adelaide B. - Eastern M. 93-62

Everything went according to plan when third ranked West Adelaide Bearcats (11-3) outplayed 10th ranked Eastern Mavericks (2-12) in Woodville 93-62 on Saturday. West Adelaide Bearcats outrebounded Eastern Mavericks 48-33 including 34 on the defensive glass. American forward Tobias Dowdell (201-90, college: Alders.-Broad.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import guard James Legan (190-87, college: E.Carolina, agency: Court Side) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four West Adelaide Bearcats players scored in double figures. American guard Jake Rios (188-86, college: Georgia Coll.) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Patrick Jonczyk (197) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Eastern Mavericks. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. West Adelaide Bearcats maintains third place in League with 11-3 record having just four point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Eastern Mavericks keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. West Adelaide Bearcats will face Woodville Warriors (#8) in Flinders Park in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Eastern Mavericks will play on the road against Sturt Sabres in Pasadena and hope to win that game.
