Regular Season Round 16: Waverley F. - S.Peninsula S. 64-60

No shocking result in a game in Mount Waverley where second ranked Falcons (11-3) defeated 5th ranked Sharks (7-6) 64-60 on Sunday. They outrebounded Sharks 53-34 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Kelly Bowen (182-89, college: Gonzaga) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Renae Mokrzycki (183-94, college: Idaho) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four Falcons players scored in double figures. Swingman Jazmin Shelley (174-0) produced 22 points and 4 assists and American forward Sydney Coleman (185, college: TCU) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Falcons maintains second position in League with 11-3 record having just one point less than leader Bendigo LB. Loser Sharks keep the fifth place with six games lost. Falcons will face Boomers (#9) in Bulleen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sharks will play at home against Wildcats (#10) and hope to win that game.
