Not a big story in a game in Lanling where 8th ranked Chongqing (2-4) was defeated by sixth ranked Anhui (5-1) 113-105 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 53-42 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) fired 39 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Kai Ren (207-92) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Anhui's coach Changsuo Xu used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (217-91, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Yaoyang Guo (183-92) added 25 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Anhui and five Chongqing players scored in double figures. Anhui moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Chongqing dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Anhui will face Lhasa (#4) at home in the next round. Chongqing will play against the league's second-placed Shaanxi X. (#2) and hope to win that game.
