A very interesting game took place in Eltham. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Casey C. (9-7) to second ranked Eltham Wildcats (12-5) 93-90 on Sunday evening. Eltham Wildcats forced 19 Casey C. turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Justin Aver (190-89) who scored 22 points and 4 assists. American point guard Ilarion Bonhomme (180) chipped in 22 points and 4 steals. Eltham Wildcats' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Raheem Lemons (196-93, college: Central State) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Benjamin Louis (192-88, college: JMU) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Eltham Wildcats maintains second place in League with 12-5 record having just eight point less than leader Mackay M. Casey C. at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Eltham Wildcats' next round opponent will be Blackburn V. (#11) in Melbourne and are hoping to win another game. Casey C. will play at home against the league's leader Ringwood Hawks (#1) and hope to win that game.
