Important game to mention about took place in Montevideo. Ninth ranked Stockolmo (4-3) saved a 2-point derby victory at home edging 13th ranked Tabare (1-6) 61-59 on Tuesday evening. Stockolmo made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Tabare turnovers. Tabare was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for South African center Christopher Gabriel (211-88, college: San Diego) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Facundo Ferreira (192-88) contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Gabriel is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Tiel Daniels (200-92, college: Colorado St.) answered with 21 points and 9 rebounds and forward Emiliano Serres (206-97) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Tabare. Stockolmo moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bohemios. Tabare lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with six games lost. Stockolmo will face league's second-placed Colon at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tabare will play against Cordon (#3) and hope to win that game.
