Regular Season Round 7: KCCA Lions - Pemba Warriors 64-77

Very expected game when 11th ranked KCC Lions (2-9) were defeated at home by fourth ranked Pemba Warriors (7-4) 77-64 on Wednesday. Pemba Warriors forced 20 KCC Lions turnovers. It was a great evening for center Daniel Gaaki who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 6 assists. Guard Mark Opiyo (-90) helped adding 17 points. Four Pemba Warriors players scored in double figures. At the losing side Frank Ikabat responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and American guard Brian Waters (188-85, college: Elon) scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Pemba Warriors maintains fourth place with 7-4 record. KCC Lions lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the eleventh position with nine games lost.
