Regular Season Round 8: Anhui - Lhasa 114-99

The game in Anhui was also worth to mention about. One of their biggest challengers Lhasa (5-2) played at the court of fifth ranked Anhui (6-1). Anhui defeated Lhasa 114-99. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lhasa. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Anhui dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Lhasa's 46. Anhui forced 28 Lhasa turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Lhasa's players. 31 personal fouls committed by Lhasa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists and Bosnian power forward Ale Todorovic (206-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anhui moved-up to second place, which they share with Guizhou and Shaanxi X. Lhasa at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Anhui's next round opponent will be Guizhou (#3) at home, which may be the game of the day. Lhasa will play against the league's second-placed Shaanxi X. (#2) and hope to win that game.
