Regular Season Round 21: Marinos - Panteras 75-67

The game between second ranked Panteras (10-6) and fifth ranked Marinos (3-13) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Panteras were defeated by Marinos in a tough game in Puerto La Cruz 67-75. The best player for the winners was center Miguel Bolivar (205-92) who scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Jose Sojo (194-96) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Marinos' coach Lluis Pino used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Jhon Romero (199-85) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Morris Sierralta (190-87) added 16 points and 4 steals respectively. Marinos maintains fifth place with 3-13 record. Panteras at the other side still keep top position with six games lost. They share it with Gigantes. Marinos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Panteras will play at home against Toros and are hoping to win this game.
