Regular Season Round 17: BA CoE - Sandringham S. 61-62

Eighth-ranked BA CoE (4-16) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Sabres (12-6) in Canberra on Friday. The visitors from Cheltenham managed to secure only one-point victory 62-61. However their fans expected much easier game. The former international Rachel Jarry (185-91) nailed 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and New Zealand center Megan Craig (203-93, college: Albany) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Isabel Palmer (178-1) came up with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and center Isabelle Bourne (186-0) added 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for BA CoE in the defeat. Sabres maintains third place in League with 12-6 record having two points less than leader Bendigo LB. Loser BA CoE keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost. Sabres will meet at home league's leader Lady Cobras in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BA CoE will have a break next round.
