The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hunters as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Hunters defeated 3rd placed North Bears in Crows Nest 67-53. Hunters made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Forward Hannah Young (185-93, college: Virginia Tech) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Alison Ebzery contributed with 25 points (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Austrian center Sarah Schicher (187-90, college: Dowling) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Chloe Bloom added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for North Bears. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. North Bears at the other side still keep top place with two games lost. North Bears will play next round against Hills Hornets trying to get back on the winning streak. Hunters will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Sharks in Sutherland.
