Everything went according to plan when leader Rockets (16-0) defeated 3rd placed Flames (11-5) in Adelaide 86-81 on Saturday. Strangely Flames outrebounded Rockets 57-40 including 20 on the offensive glass. American guard Leah Metcalf (170-83, college: N.Carolina) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international swingman Jo Hill (182-73) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jessica Good (186-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds and Chelsea Roberts added 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Flames. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rockets maintains first place in League with 16-0 record. Loser Flames keep the third position with five games lost. Rockets will face Mavericks (#7) in Mt. Barker in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Flames will play at home against Tigers (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
