The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Shaanxi X. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Shaanxi X. defeated 3rd ranked Hunan in Xian 91-82. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hunan. The hosts were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 27-23 Hunan's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 91-82 at the end of the game. Shaanxi X. forced 21 Hunan turnovers. The winners were led by South Sudanese-Lebanese center Ater Majok (208-87, college: Connecticut) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 blocks and American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-88, college: N.Mexico St.) supported him with 26 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds by American center Michael Holyfield (211-92, college: Sam Houston St.) did not help to save the game for Hunan. American-Jamaican guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Hunan players scored in double figures. Hunan's coach Moon Yoong Hwang rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Shaanxi X. (10-1) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Hunan at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Anhui and Guizhou. Hunan will play next round against Chongqing trying to get back on the winning streak. Shaanxi X. will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Guangxi on the road.
