Regular Season Round 19: Logan T. - SW Metro P. 92-72

Everything could happen in Loganholme at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Logan T. and 6th ranked South West Metro Pirates had identical 8-4 record. This time Logan T. used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Runcorn 92-72 on Friday night. The game was mostly controlled by Logan T.. South West Metro Pirates was better in fourth quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Logan T. shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for forward Mitch Young (206-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized British forward Obi Kyei (206-94, college: Eckerd, agency: Two Points) helped adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Nigerian-American guard Princeton Onwas (198-93, college: San Jose St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and forward Jarred Bairstow (201-92, college: Cent.Oklahoma) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Logan T. maintains fourth place in League with 9-4 record. Loser South West Metro Pirates keep the sixth position with five games lost. Logan T. will face Sunshine CP (#11) in Cotton Tree in the next round and are hoping to win another game. South West Metro Pirates will play on the road against Brisbane Capitals (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
