There was a small surprise in Newcastle where fourth ranked Sharks (9-5) defeated second-best Hunters (10-4) 80-73 on Saturday. Point guard Shyla Heal (167-1) scored 26 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Chelsie Schweers (170-89, college: Chris.Newport) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Hannah Young (185-93, college: Virginia Tech) with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Jasmin Howe (173, college: NW Missouri St.) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Sharks maintains fourth position in League with 9-5 record. Loser Hunters dropped to the third place with four games lost. Sharks will face Comets (#6) in Alexandria in the next round.
