There was a surprise result in Floreat where eighth ranked Hawks (8-11) won against higher ranked Suns (13-7) 84-79 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Hawks especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. New Zealand guard Antonia Farnworth-Edmondson (181-87) scored 29 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Natalie Burton (194-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Alex Ciabattoni (183-94) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and American power forward Jennie Rintala (188-90, college: S.Dakota St.) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Hawks maintains eighth position in League with 8-11 record. Loser Suns keep the fourth place with seven games lost. Hawks will face Wanneroo (#11) in Joondalup in the next round. Suns will play on the road against Magic (#7) in Mandurah and hope to win that game.
