No shocking result in a game in Floreat where fourth ranked Hawks (15-8) won against 10th ranked Suns (10-14) 111-101 on Saturday. Hawks dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Suns' 56. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for the former international forward Ben Purser (200-90, college: Augusta) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. American center Brian Carlwell (211-87, college: San Diego St.) helped adding 15 points and 15 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) responded with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and the other American import center Kevin Davis (206-91, college: Cent.Washington) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hawks maintains fourth place in League with 15-8 record. Loser Suns dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. Hawks will face Giants (#14) in Kalgoorlie in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Suns will play on the road against Magic (#13) in Mandurah and hope to win that game.
