There was no surprise in Hamilton Hill where 9th ranked Cougars (9-15) were defeated by first ranked Buccaneers (19-3) 109-104 on Saturday. Buccaneers made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Colter Lasher (201-94, college: Houston Baptist, agency: Blacktop Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (196-91, college: Missouri) helped adding 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Buccaneers players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Gavin Field (202-89, college: W.Georgia) responded with 43 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Seva Chan (187-94) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Buccaneers maintains first place in League with 19-3 record. Loser Cougars dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. Buccaneers will face Senators (#6) in Perth in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Cougars will play at home against Slammers (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
