Regular Season Round 19: Dandenong R. - Melbourne T. 83-75

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Dandenong Rangers' (9-10) home victory over 6th ranked Tigers (9-10) 83-75 on Saturday. Dandenong Rangers forced 19 Tigers turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international forward Rhys Vague (204-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Point guard Lucas Barker (183-93, college: Indianapolis) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. Dandenong Rangers' coach Jonathan Goodman used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Tom Wilson (195-97, college: SMU) responded with 36 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and center Deng Acuoth (213-96) scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. Dandenong Rangers maintains fifth place in League with 9-10 record. Dandenong Rangers will face league's leader Chargers in Hobart in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tigers will play on the road against the league's second-placed Spectres (#2) in East Burwood and hope to win that game.
