Not a big story in a game in Greenacres where 10th ranked Eastern Mavericks (2-15) were rolled over by fourth ranked North Adelaide Rockets (11-6) 101-80 on Saturday. North Adelaide Rockets dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Eastern Mavericks' 50. They outrebounded Eastern Mavericks 48-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. North Adelaide Rockets looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Brad Jonnek who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Alexander Starling (198-89, college: Beth.-Cookman) helped adding 21 points and 12 rebounds. Five North Adelaide Rockets players scored in double figures. North Adelaide Rockets' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Jake Rios (188-86, college: Georgia Coll.) responded with 28 points and the other American import forward William Wise (206-92, college: Dominican, NY) scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. North Adelaide Rockets maintains fourth place in League with 11-6 record. Loser Eastern Mavericks keep the tenth position with 15 games lost. North Adelaide Rockets will face Woodville Warriors (#8) in Flinders Park in the next round. Eastern Mavericks will play at home against Norwood Flames and hope to win that game.
