Regular Season Round 8: KCCA Lions - JKL Dolphins 66-68

A very interesting game took place in . It ended with only two-point home defeat of 12th ranked KCC Lions (4-10) to sixth ranked JKL Dolphins (6-7) 68-66 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KCC Lions. The winners were led by international center Ivan Lumanyika (205-92) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and forward Daniel Orenga (186-96) supported him with 15 points. JKL Dolphins' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds by Francis Mbuyi did not help to save the game for KCC Lions. American guard Brian Waters (188-85, college: Elon) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the hosts. JKL Dolphins moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Our Saviour. Newly promoted KCC Lions dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. JKL Dolphins' next round opponent will be Ndejje (#7). KCC Lions will play against Our Saviour and hope to win that game.
