Regular Season Round 19: Mandurah M. - Stirling S. 94-100

Everything went according to plan in Mandurah where sixth ranked Senators (13-11) beat 12th ranked Magic (6-17) 100-94 on Sunday. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American forward Robert Anshila (199-86, college: Ft.Hays State) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Justin King (196-89, college: TRU) helped adding 26 points and 8 rebounds. Worth to mention Anshila played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Four Senators players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Shaun Stewart (180-94, college: Limestone) responded with 41 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and the other American import swingman Jamal Shabazz (198-94, college: Samford) scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Magic's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Senators maintains sixth place in League with 13-11 record. Loser Magic dropped to the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Senators will face league's leader Buccaneers in Wonthella in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Magic will play at home against Suns (#9) and hope to win that game.
