Very expected game in Kampala where 10th ranked UPDF (4-10) was rolled over by fourth ranked Pemba Warriors (9-4) 109-54 on Sunday. Pemba Warriors dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to UPDF's 34. They outrebounded UPDF 43-19 including a 36-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pemba Warriors looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by UPDF's players. The best player for the winners was Marc Mathe who scored 18 points. Forward Samad Imran (-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Pemba Warriors players scored in double figures. Pemba Warriors' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Bernard Okumu produced 25 points and 6 rebounds and Andrew Okot (201) added 10 points respectively for the guests. Pemba Warriors have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser UPDF dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. Pemba Warriors will face UCU Canons (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. UPDF will play against Ndejje (#7) and hope to win that game.
