Regular Season Round 4: Danang D. - Can Tho CF 80-111

Date: July 8, 2018
An interesting game for Can Tho CF (5-1) which played road game in Danang against 4th ranked Danang Dragons (3-4). First ranked Can Tho CF had an easy win 111-80. Can Tho CF looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The winners were led by American power forward DeAngelo Hamilton (203-90, college: Washington St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and Sang Dinh-Thanh supported him with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Can Tho CF players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Zach Allmon (203, college: Vanguard) did not help to save the game for Danang Dragons. His fellow American import forward Chris Dierker (201, college: Madonna) added 22 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Can Tho CF have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-1 record. Danang Dragons lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with four games lost. Can Tho CF will meet Hanoi B. (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Danang Dragons will play against the league's second-placed Saigon Heat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
