Regular Season Round 19: Eltham W. - Werribee D. 113-89

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Eltham Wildcats (15-5) outleveled at home 10th ranked Devils (5-14) 113-89 on Sunday. Eltham Wildcats dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Devils' 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Devils' players. It was a great evening for guard Justin Aver (190-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 6 assists. American guard Josh Sykes (203, college: Fresno City CC) helped adding 13 points and 10 rebounds. Eltham Wildcats' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Konor Kulas (201-94, college: S.Dakota Mines) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and forward Mark Berezdecky (198-93) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Eltham Wildcats maintains second place in League with 15-5 record having just nine point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Devils keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Eltham Wildcats will face Magic (#4) in Hawthorn in the next round. Devils will play at home against Waverley Falcons (#3) and hope to win that game.
