No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked BA CoE (11-8) won against on the road bottom-ranked Canberra Gunners (0-17) 87-80 on Sunday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-11. But Canberra Gunners won second period 22-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Canberra Gunners 42-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Kyle Bowen (200-0) who led his team to a victory scoring 7 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. Alex Ducas helped adding 23 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side guard Daniel Joyce (194-87) responded with 24 points and 6 assists and guard Marshall Nelson (188-94, college: Wayland Baptist) scored 25 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BA CoE maintains fourth place in League with 11-8 record. Loser Canberra Gunners still closes the standings with 17 games lost. BA CoE will have a break next round. Canberra Gunners will play on the road against Bandits (#6) in Albury and hope to get finally their first victory.
